<description><![CDATA[David McCarthy, 70, died Wednesday, May 1, 2013. Funeral service with Rev. Leo Brooks officiating will be held on Monday, May 6, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. at St. Paul United Methodist Church. Interment will follow in the Breckenridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 5:00-6:00 P.M. Arrangements are under the direction of Melton-Kitchens Funeral Home.

David Arthur McCarthy Jr. was born on October 25, 1942 in Graham, Texas to David Arthur McCarthy Sr. and Goldie Louise Schafer McCarthy. He married Barbara O’Dell on October 22, 1965 in Breckenridge. He was a heavy equipment operator for Lone Star Gas and TXU and also a contract pumper. Mr. McCarthy was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church and was a Veteran of the United States Army.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara McCarthy of Breckenridge; sons, Kevin McCarthy and wife, Robin and Randy McCarthy all of Breckenridge; sisters, Mary Nell Cox of Irving, Dorothy Atkinson of Snyder, and Shirley Pribble and husband, Lester of Buffalo Gap; grandchildren, Harley, Waylon, and Jordan. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Margaret Kinney and Betty Atkinson; and a brother, Donald Joe McCarthy. Memorials may be made to Meals on Wheels or the American Heart Association and they can be left at the funeral home. Graveside service with Jim Cox officiating will be held on Wednesday, May 1, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. in the Oakview Cemetery in Mullin, Texas. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 7:00-8:00 p.m. Arrangements are under the direction of Melton-Kitchens Funeral Home.

Nancy Denise Johnson was born on October 8, 1954 in Graham to Charles Edward Johnson and Evelyne Sarah McClure Johnson. She graduated from Breckenridge High School in 1973, and married Charles Michael Bode on September 22, 1973 at the Elliott Street Church of Christ in Breckenridge. Nancy was employed by Graham Savings and Loan for 27 years where she was the Breckenridge Branch Manager and later the Vice President of Savings at the Graham branch. Later she worked at the Walker Sayle Unit in the CEC Department as an office clerk, and had recently graduated from correctional officer training. Mrs. Bode was a member of the Elliott Street Church of Christ. She also was member of the Breckenridge and Graham Lions Clubs, past president of the Breckenridge Lions Club, and past member of the board of directors of the Breckenridge Chamber of Commerce.

Survivors include her husband, Charles Michael Bode of Breckenridge; daughters, Ginger Roxanne McWilliams and husband, Robby of Leander, Amber Denise Boase and husband, Troy of Stephenville, and Heather Rhea Groves and husband, Jared of McKinney; sister and life-long friend, Stephanee Russell of Breckenridge; grandchildren, Alyson Rose McWilliams and Caralyn Sage McWilliams both of Leander and Rainey Denise Boase and Madisyn Dawn Boase both of Stephenville. James Clavin Stultz Jr. was born on April 27, 1944 in Red Springs, North Carolina to James Calvin Stultz Sr. and Lucy Herndon Stultz. He served his country in the United States Army. Mr. Stultz was a truck driver and owned a mechanic and muffler shop.

Survivors include sons, Jimmy Stultz and fiancé, Amy Taylor of Bessie, Oklahoma, Randy Jones of San Antonio, and Tony Wheeler of Lawton, OK; daughter, Lisa Garrett of Fort Worth; grandchildren, Kayla Johnson, Emily Stultz, Whitney Stultz, Baylee Stultz, Dillon Stultz, Krista Garrett, Brad Garrett, Trent Garrett, Jerred Jones, and Kaylee Jones. Betty was born September 28, 1923 in Sweetwater to Malcolm N. McCaskill and Lucille Virginia Heatley McCaskill. She married Billy Sam Fambro on March 19, 1941 in Midland, and they were married for 69 years until he preceded her in death on May 19, 2010. She was a homemaker and a rancher, a member of the First Christian Church, and CWF. Betty was a past member of the Breckenridge Country Club, Texas Cattle Raisers Association, Texas Farm Bureau, and the Woman’s Forum. She received an Honorary FFA Chapter Farmer Award and Honorary FFA State Farmer Award.

W. “William” Don Smith was born on August 12, 1937 in Graham, Texas to William King Smith and Aetna B. Rippy Smith. He married Kay Thornton on January 10, 1981 in Graham. W. Don graduated from Breckenridge High School in 1955. He was a rancher, oil producer, and had owned Smith Case and Pulling. Mr. Smith was a Baptist. 

Survivors include his wife, Kay Smith of Breckenridge; daughters, Leticia Kathleen Smith of San Antonio, Teena-Louise Smith Kloth and husband, Michael of Lumberton, and Krista Wilcox and husband, Chad of Breckenridge; grandchildren, Arantxa Loizaga, Thais Loizaga, Itziar Loizaga, Jordon Kloth, MiKayla Kloth, Kelli Wilcox, Chad Wilcox, and Kaysi Wilcox;  and a great-granddaughter, Olivia Kay Krueger. Survivors include daughters, Marilyn Garvin and husband, Carl of Breckenridge, Rennetta Huitt of Arlington, Lana Roberson of Monahans, and Lorea Roberson Lawson and husband, Victor of Breckenridge; sons, Billy Love Roberson Jr. and wife, Robin of Breckenridge, Troy Roberson and wife, Trisha of Breckenridge, and Boyce Roberson of Las Cruces, New Mexico; twenty-five grandchildren; and twenty great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Irise; parents; and a sister.

Carole married Warren Woodward on January 15, 1972 in Wichita Falls. She worked in retail sales and was a member of the Edgemere Church of Christ.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 6:00-7:00 P.M. Arrangements are under the direction of Melton-Kitchens Funeral Home.

Frances Ruth Rowch was born on November 10, 1920 in Dawes, West Virginia to Henry J. Rowch and Ethel Davisson Rowch. She married J.B. Adams on April 20, 1940 in Mineral Wells. She was a homemaker and devoted member of Bethany Baptist Church where she served on the baptism, floral, communion, and bereavement committees. Also, she was Sunday School Secretary, taught Vacation Bible School, worked in the food pantry, and was the director of the annual live nativity program at Bethany. Mrs. Adams volunteered with the Breckenridge Meals on Wheels Program for 20 years and got much pleasure out of spending time with her family.  She also enjoyed decorating. 

Survivors include daughters, Linda Gilpin and husband, Harry of Fredericksburg and Sandy Dailey and husband, Ron of Kennedale; sons, Jerry Adams and wife, Brenda of Lovington, New Mexico and Butch Adams and wife, Pat of Breckenridge; sister, Marie Tuttle of Fair Oaks, California; eleven grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her special friends, Larry and Peggy Holder. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brothers, Woodrow, Robert “Buddy”, Paul Eugene, and Freddie Rowch. Memorials may be made to Meals on Wheels, Bethany Baptist Church, The American Cancer Society, or a charity of the donor’s choice.
